I was craving for Thai. Ordinarily, that would mean driving up to Serendra for a late-night dinner at Thai at Silk. But our friend 2ns recently suggested a place called Thaipan, which, like Silk, is also owned by Cecile Ysmael.
Sonya would love this place. Almost everything was done in white, save for accents of browns and greens. The decor was exquisite.
I adored this little nook embellished with those charming vines.
This would make a great venue for an intimate party.
The tall ceiling and open layout gave the sense of lounging in a garden, with the comfort of being under the shade.
The menu was almost entirely the same as Thai at Silk’s, and the food was equally good.
Tom Yum Kung
Our usual: cinnamon- and lemon-marinated pork ribs and green chicken curry. We usually order pad thai as well but I wanted to try the crispy catfish.
