I like my food served with atmosphere. This restaurant had plenty of both.
The maître d’ gave us a table on the deck built around an overgrown tree that, I can imagine, offered plenty of shade during brunch, for which Gado-Gado is a long-time expats’ favorite. I went during dinner. The place offered no less charm. The waitstaff are well-trained and efficient and the food was memorable.
Gado-gado is an Indonesian dish of mixed vegetables with peanut sauce.
